Palace Theatre The work of the Frostburg Palace Theatre, Inc. (FPT) addresses three primary concerns of a small community. The first of these is the preservation of regional heritage. Through the restoration and maintenance of an historic Frostburg building, we have become stewards of a piece of this community’s past. The nurturing of a vibrant downtown is a second community concern addressed by the efforts of the FPT. The Main Street location of the theatre itself draws people into one of this area’s traditional centers of concourse, offering many of them the opportunity to have an evening out on foot. Finally, the FPT is attempting to provide local residents with access to highly regarded films that would otherwise not be shown in our region. The Palace is, in industry terms, a repertory theatre. The bottom line at the box office (adults $5.50, youth $3.50, series pass $4.00), established for general inclusion, also contributes to this diversity." Events and films at the Palace from March thru June. Main Street, Frostburg. I-68 Exit 34. Call for schedule, 301-689-5905.
